NSW DPI (Maggie Jarrett)

Maggie Jarrett works for NSW DPI as a Viticulture Development Officer (Sustainability and Biosecurity) with a focus on sustainability and biosecurity. Part of this role has been to increase membership of the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia program across the state as well as identify sustainability issues in regions and break down barriers for the industry to improve on these

She grew up on a farm in Orange, NSW which is a mixed enterprise of vineyards, livestock and production of wine known as See Saw Wines. She completed a bachelor’s in environmental management majoring in Ecology at UNSW in May 2020. Maggie has worked in the industry for 10 years including vineyard work, cellar door work and environmental work for See Saw Wines. 

Maggie can provide face to face training in both the Sustainability Viticulture (AWISSP-VIT1) and Sustainability Winery (AWISSP-WIN1) Standards to regional groups in NSW and ACT.
