David is the General Manager of Market Development for Citrus Australia and provides technical and commercial advice to the Australian government to overcome technical trade barriers to trade in biosecurity, agrichemicals, and food safety.

For over a decade, David worked in market access research and development with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries and later with the Australian Government Department of Agriculture in Canberra.

A keen surfer with a background in foodservice, David is passionate about the maintenance of a healthy diet, sleep, and exercise. He is proud to be part of the horticulture industry, as he gets to deal with products that he believes in.

Fun Fact: Before joining the horticulture industry, David was a pastry chef. During his apprenticeship, he made a birthday cake for the late football superstar Diego Maradona in 1993 when the Argentinian national team visited Australia for a friendly match.
